LASER DEBRIS SHIELDS MADE FROM SAPPHIRE FOR LONGER LIFE

LASER DEBRIS SHIELDS MADE FROM SAPPHIRE FOR LONGER LIFE

A line of laser debris shields that are made from durable sapphire to withstand steel splatter, flash, and debris better than fused silica has been introduced by Laser Research Optics of Providence, Rhode Island.

Laser Research Sapphire Debris Shields can withstand steel splatter, flash, and debris to reduce focus shift and the deterioration of beam quality while extending the service life and reducing the number of lens changes. More robust than fused silica protection glasses, sapphire debris shields have lower bulk absorption with about 30 times higher thermal conductivity.

Available in 0.5” and 2.0” sizes, Laser Research Sapphire Debris Shields have A/R coatings on both sides to provide transmission of > 99.5% @ 1.06 microns with > 80% @ 650-670 nm. These laser debris shields have a 10-5 scratch-dig finish and 1/4 wave transmitted wavefront.

Laser Research Sapphire Debris Shields are priced according to size and quantity. Price quotations are available upon request.
